About Eric M. Kephart DO
Dr. Kephart is a board certified fellowship trained primary care sports medicine physician. Dr. Kephart was the founding program director of a Primary Care Sports Medicine Fellowship program at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center/University Orthopedics Center in Altoona PA.
He served as medical director of an NCAA Division I University and Team physician for the Altoona Curve Pittsburgh Pirates AA affiliate for 9 years. Dr. Kephart completed a 6 month fellowship in Interventional Regenerative Orthopedics and Sports Medicine at The Center for Sports Medicine under Brian Shiple DO. He also holds certification in Advanced Bio-Identical Hormone Replacement Therapy under Neal Rouzier MD. Dr. Kephart earned a Masters of Science degree in Exercise Science and Health Promotion from MTSU.
Over the last 12 years Dr. Kephart has lectured at local, state and national sports medicine conferences. A former NCAA athlete turned triathlete, Dr. Kephart maintains an active lifestyle by competing in triathlons, exercise training, cycling, weight lifting, and has a history of athleticism after playing college football and baseball. He and his wife, Lindsay, have 4 children whom he loves watching grow and develop as they play sports.
Dr. Kephart enjoys being active, by supporting and volunteering with local athletic associations. He volunteers as a baseball coach and taught Sunday School at his church. He understands the physical struggle of an active lifestyle as it relates to young athletes or adults who are looking to maintain or restore their health and fitness.
